BMW Cap - Used Located behind the gas hatch door, this is the cap for the fuel tank. |

BMW Carbon Cannister - Used This is the box or cylinder in line with the fuel tank breather system. It allows air to be release fron the fule system without releasing fuel vapors. |

BMW Expansion Tank - Used The expansion tank is usually located inside the trunk. The purpose of the expansion tank is to allow the gasoline and air inside the fuel tank to expand and contract due to changes in the outside temperature. |

BMW Filler Neck - Used The filler neck is that part that goes from the gas cap to the fuel tank. Not always seperate, it can be a part of the fuel tank. |

BMW Hatch Door - Used This is the metal flap located in the quarter panel that you would open to gain access to the gas cap. |

BMW Hatch Door Actuator - Used This is the device that locks and unlocks the gas door. |

BMW Leak Diagnostic Pump - Used This pump pressurizes the fuel system to confirm that it is not leaking. |

BMW Pump In Tank - Used In tank fuel pumps are those pump which twist or bolt into the fuel tank itself. |

BMW Pump Out Of Tank - Used The out of tank fuel pump is just that, it's the fuel pump located externally from the fuel tank. Most pumps are electric, but some early pumps can be manual. Manual pumps woul be located on the cylinder head and are driven by a push rod that rides on the camshaft. |

BMW Pump Sending Unit (Level Sensor) - Used The pump sending unit tells the fuel gauge how much gas in in the fuel tank(s). |
